Fear of heights

guinea_pigs_tales_worf_profileIt is amazing to see how humans believe we our feelings and emotions are at a low level and almost insignificant. But it is also amazing to open their eyes and let them know there is more about us than what they can glimpse. So, let’s talk about me and my fears.

We’ve already established I am the shy and introvert one. I like living on my own, although I also like having other piggies around. I don’t mind getting out with Kirk and having some “play dates”, but I enjoy best exploring the house by myself. There is nothing funnier than exploring under the couch and pooping all over in the hidden corners of the house. And humans look very amused checking where my white bum is…

Lately they came to realize what I knew for a long time: that I fear heights. But they never seem to notice the signs and I was always too busy being shy for telling them the truth. But they are not that dumb and they realized after all. How?! Well, after switching rooms because of Kirk and his bad manners, the human female also decided to change the place of my wood house form the front of the pen to the back. So, instead of having a wide open space from the top of it, I now have a closed view, a glass door, and I can’t really see the distance to the floor. As soon as she did this I’ve started climbing on top of my house and spending time there looking at the glass door and its beautiful colours.

It did not take long for her to realize that the height was the reason keeping me down from the house. And also the height is the reason why I cling myself on her anorak every time she picks me up and starts walking me through the house. As I said, she is not that dumb! Just that it took her several months to come to this conclusion.

Look, this is me on top of my wood house!
